XAMPP on Windows - Attempting to start Apache service... - No Port block -


i have installed xampp on windows 7 machine can't apache work.

after opening xampp panel , installing apache service: have tried start it, stuck @ "starting apache service..."

on start following:

the apache service named

reported following error: >>> httpd.exe: syntax error on line 172 of c:/xampp/apache/conf/httpd.conf: cannot load modules/mod_ssl.so server: specified module not found.

i error .net runtime optimization service:

on first start had .dll problems solved them, not know if related.

i tried in: "xampp - apache not start - attempting start apache service" without improvement.

any advice on how resolve ?

go xampp control panel , click on config->httpd.conf go line no 171 , change servername localhost:80 servername localhost:81 work.

minify - Minimizing css files -

i want know how css files can minimized. currently, using external sites css minifier compress css files. however, after removing whitespaces, comments, etc, file sizes reduced 10-15%. how frameworks bootstrap manage make minimized versions kilobytes. as example, css is: body { background-color: #ff0; } the reduction goes 28 bytes 22 bytes other css files have lot more characters still smaller this. actually minifying code means it's remove thing code white space characters new line characters comments block delimiters it reduces amount of code has transferred on web , speed site load fastly.but unreadable format.
