visual studio - TFS task panel configuration with additional fields -

i trying recreate own tfs similar features. additional fields item effort(hours).

is addon or require change in flow via visual studio? think have idea forgot how technology edit tfs called , in visual studio?

enter image description here

the effort(hours) in task work item type existing in agile , cmmi process template. if use scrum template, can change agile template project.

you can use burndown in tasks if want track how work remains in sprint backlog, understand how team has completed tasks, , predict when team achieve goal or goals of sprint.

we use number of tasks our burndown measure. actual hours or ideal hours, enough , apparently interesting enough need clarification.

there user voice using effort estimates work in scrum tfs template reference (the response tfs product group):

the “effort” field on product backlog item meant unit team decides want use. teams use “story points”. use “ideal days”.

the remaining work field on task, same think. whatever team decides be. thing our tools expect reduced work on it, can provide burn-down.

if looking way capture original estimate (complexity) of task, you’ll need update task work item type definition , add custom field yourself.

if need custom field, please refer add or modify field details.

and thread reference: scrum - when estimate effort product backlog items?

besides, can try addons : eg tfs time tracker
